The study of human anatomy, both male and female alike, explores themes of light and dark, and a heavy focus on rebirth. This concept of sitting in the dark and being elegantly released into the light sticks has an important place in my heart. These concepts were materialized with the intention to demonstrate the mental change I was going through. My final year at the School of Visual Arts saw myself reflecting a lot not only as the artist I became, but also the person I would carry myself as into the world after graduating. That person still continues to grow, learning new skills both in art and just in life. Going through a metaphorical rebirth put my art in a new perspective.
