“A Loving Eulogy”

"A Loving Eulogy" was a Senior Thesis project produced in the School of Visual Arts. My primary responsibility revolved around everything CG, producing the models, all texture sets, lighting, rigging of characters, and rendering of shots.

Synopsis: Imagine losing the most important person in your life at an early age. A Loving Eulogy is about a young shy boy and his special relationship with his grandfather. they do everything together from brushing their teeth to playing games. The young boy always looks forward to playing with his grandfather everyday. One day as the young boy returns home from school, begins to search for his grandfather and then learns that his grandfather has passed away and now he must do a eulogy at his funeral. He is scared to do the Eulogy until he sees his grandfather's ghost at the funeral. His grandfather's appearance gave him the strength to do the eulogy.

Environments

For the environments, I wanted to keep them as close to the concept art as possible. I created all 13 environments featured in the film, building a set similar to a doll house so transitions between rooms in scenes would become seamless. I wanted each room to have its own distinct personality with textures that suited. All textures were made in both Substance Painter and Photoshop!
